Theatre Modo has been commissioned by the Street Haikers to create a spectacular processional performance with young people from Macduff and the surrounding area.

An electrifying street parade celebrating the life, the legend and the legerdemain of  Dr Walford Bodie MD. Master showman,  Merry Devil,  purveyor of electric life pills, Macduffer, and the most remarkable man on earth.

Theatre Modo is working with over 300 young people to create the performance. Groups are learning stilt walking, fire performance, circus, dance and street theatre, as well as learning some of Bodie’s most secret magic effects.

The Electric Wizard is funded by Awards for All, Heritage Lottery Fund, Aberdeenshire Council, Community Safety for Aberdeenshire, Scottish Community Foundation, the Mary Salmond Trust, the Banff and Buchan Arts Forum and Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership.
