SICK is a playful, powerful and poignant one-person show exploring the issues and experiences of being sick, and in particular of being in hospital.
Inspired by time spent by the director in hospital both as a patient and a Clowndoctor, and informed by the experiences of patients and patient groups, SICK looks at the hidden world of being sick through the eyes of a clown.
SICK was created in collaboration with patients and patient groups through a series of workshops and long-term residencies tapping into the anecdotes, experiences and individual accounts of patients, the show explores what it means to be sick, how it affects perception of self, and how others respond to sickness.
