Macphersons Rant - 2008
Commissioned by Banff Community Learning and Development the project worked with over 200 young people in school and youth groups to bring to life the sotry of the famous local freebooter and gypsy who was hung in Banff in 1700. THe show acted as a culmination to a day of debates and youth activity.
CircoModo - 2007
Working with young people in the Greater Govan area to teach skills, instill confidence, overcome social barriers. The project culminated in a public performance at the Govan International Festival.
East Renfrewshire Holiday Programme - 2007
Using circus skills to entertain and engage young people attending holiday activity programme.
Clippens School Circus Day - 2007
Creating and delivering a day of workshops, activities and performances for pupils with a range of complex learning difficulties.
Transition Workshops - 2007
Working with targeted individuals making the transition from Primary to Secondary School in Moray using theatre and circus to boost confidence and encourage social skills. The week long prject culminated in a performance to family and friends.
Buckie Festival - 2007
Commissioned by the Buckie Festival Committee, Theatre Modo was in residence in Buckie for 3 months, working with groups of all ages to teach new skills and to create a large outdoor promenade performance that involved over 600 performers.
Keeping Well in Greater Govan - 2007
Regular circus & drama activities in the Pearce Institute and around Govan for children aged 5-12 to promote healthy living.
Caithness Arts Festival - 2007
Commissioned by the festival Theatre Modo worked with schools and youth groups to create a parade to mark the end of the festival. The colourful procession ended with a fire performance and fireworks at the riverside.
Moray Winter Festival - 2007
Lantern parade with fireworks display through Elgin to finish with a fiery finale at the Painstones.
Easter holiday drama project – Shettleston - 2006
A week long activity programme for teenagers during the Easter holidays. The group learned juggling and circus techniques building up to a final showcase for friends and family.
Holiday Drama Project - Hillington - 2006
The group devised and performed a short play exploring territorialism and drugs, issues highlighted as of special importance by Youth Services.
Govan Fair - 2006
Working with various youth and after school groups to create dance and stilt performances for the Govan Fair Parade.
Celtic Connections - 2006
Working with schools and youth groups to create a spectacular parade led by the Lord Provost to launch the Celtic Connections Festival.
Govan Gathering Light - 2004
Worked with a dozen groups (after school, youth groups and primary schools) to create performances and routines for Govan Gathering Light in 2003 and 2004. For both events there was a flamboyant and colourful procession involving several hundred young people leading up to a spectacular finale where the more committed groups performed routines with stilts, fire, shadow puppetry and dance to an audience of over 1,000.
Assipattle - 2003
Large scale community street extravaganza. Over 400 people from across the county took part. Groups included school classes, youth theatres dance groups, music groups etc. The show was based on the old Highland legend of Assipattle and Mester Stoorworm
Carmen - 1998
Promenade opera in an Old Bus Depot bringing together professional performers and musicians with over 400 community participants for a spectacular promenade adaptation of Bizet\'s classic.
Burning Knight - 1997
Based on an old Highland legend, this was a large scale processional production as the closing event for the Northlands Festival. Bringing together professionals and community groups, the show involved over 250 people as the show followed the journey of the Good Knight on his way to battle with the evil Greysteel.
