Marking the Highland Year of Culture and the arrival of the Moray Firth Flotilla, Buckie Festival 2007, drew from local myths and legends to create a spectacular celebration. Theatre Modo was in residence in Buckie for 3 months, involving more than 600 local performers from over 40 different groups to create a spectualar outdoor show which took to the streets of Buckie in an extravaganza of acting, dancing, music, stilts, circus skills, historic boats, giant puppets and fireworks.

"Absolutely fantastic. A unique event - brought together so many people in a creative pageant that was a real spectacle to see. It had a locally resonant storyline that struck a deep chord with local culture and heritage and culminated in a dramatic and awe inspiring ending that left me feeling that I had been part of an amazing happening. The fact that it involved over 600 participants from across the community gave it a tremendous energy and spirit of participants that extended to the audience. Thank you for such an enjoyable, moving and inspiring event." Audience member
